Owner, Baker, Delivery person...
I really can’t remember when I first started baking, but I do know that by eight years old my parents were very comfortable with letting me use the electric mixer and ovens by myself. Following my mom’s tattered Better Homes “New” cookbook, I worked through different recipes the best I could with the ingredients we happened to have in the kitchen. This kick started a habit I have to this day of making cakes for no reason besides there was a new cake to make. Through constant trial and error, countless cookbooks, and one life-changing opportunity to recipe develop for now international bakery: Ethel’s Gluten Free Baked Goods, I was able to translate my hobby into a business.
Today I continue to constantly search for new baking methods, flavors and skills from my tiny kitchen in Hoboken, NJ. The main difference is that get to share this thrill of the cake with others and help to make creations for the special occasions in other’s lives. I work with clients to create the exact baked good that they’re imagining to make their event absolutely perfect! From an 8 layer birthday cake that will make you swear you’re drinking a Guinness, to a gingerbread replica of your house, I am happy to accommodate any baking request!
